Worksheets and checklists

Printable versions of the checklists on this site, for taking to a site walk or a contractor meeting.

Printable worksheets

These are the checklists from elsewhere on the site, in a form you can take to a site walk or a contractor meeting. Every tool result page also prints cleanly — the print stylesheet strips navigation and keeps the substance.

The five-gate worksheet

The five questions with space to answer them, so you hand every contractor the same description rather than four different ones.

Why these are pages rather than files

A worksheet generated from your own answers is more useful than a blank template, and a page can be corrected when something in it turns out to be wrong. A downloaded file cannot — it keeps whatever it said on the day it was saved, including the mistakes.

Work out the scope before you ask for prices

Answer the five questions every quote depends on — what is growing, where the material goes, how deep removal has to reach, whether equipment can get in, and what the land is for afterwards. Then send one properly described project to the right kind of contractor.

Nothing on this site is a recommendation of a specific company. The guidance describes categories of work and the questions worth asking. If you decide to request quotes, the introduction is free to you, contractors may pay to receive it, and you are under no obligation to hire anyone.
